Israel's First Hydrogen Intercity Bus Joins Bazan's Fleet
Bazan has received Israel's first intercity hydrogen bus, a zero-emission vehicle with a range of over 500 km that refuels in under five minutes.

Updates
Infrastructure
Bazan Group has taken delivery of Israel's first intercity bus powered by hydrogen. The vehicle is an Audace 1050, built by ALLENBUS and Marcopolo.
How it works
The bus uses fuel cells that turn hydrogen into electricity. The only emission is water vapor.
Range and capacity
On intercity roads, the bus can travel more than 500 km on one fill, and close to 600 km in ideal conditions. A full refuel takes less than five minutes, and the bus seats up to 53 passengers.
Government support
The Ministry of Energy helped fund the project with a grant of NIS 2.5 million.
On the road
The bus will take Bazan employees from Nahariya to the refinery and will refuel at a hydrogen station in the Haifa Bay area.
Bazan's acting CEO, Shlomi Bason, described the delivery as another step forward in Israel's move to hydrogen.
Why it matters
Hydrogen vehicles with long range and fast refueling are seen as a possible clean option for heavy road transport. If the technology spreads, it could change how trucks and buses are fueled in Israel in the coming years.
